The background
The Oceanic Woven Collection from Feltex is a design-led offering, influenced by the biophilic design concept; bringing the natural environment inside, both directly and implied.
Inspired by marbled coral reefs, stormy seas, sand stretches, teeming tropical fish, craggy coastlines and the myriad of marine life. This new commercial carpet range offers a range of carpet tile and broadloom offerings made with the very best in tradition and combined with cutting edge technology.
For luxe commercial interiors, the woven carpet option from the collection features a combination of sophisticated and straightforward designs. You can choose from one of the existing designs or let your imagination run wild and create your own design, from choosing each shade to the depths of each colour. Naturally durable, this high-end carpet retains a near-new look, and the dense pile gives a lush underfoot feel.
Our very own Gerrand Floorings design journey…
You may have noticed the exterior of the Gerrand Floorings building transforming in recent months. The interiors has now started its own transformation of equal proportion with the new look showroom set to provide clients with a relaxing, inviting and welcoming flooring experience.
During the renovation Leanne (Gerrand’s co-owner) has been scoping the best of NZ and our global reach for innovative and inspirational flooring products for the showroom. While Leanne may know flooring better than most, just like with any build project there is so many decisions to make so it pays to have someone alongside you who can provide sound advice and support bringing the overall aesthetic together.
Introducing Sally Lines the Creative Director from one of the Bay’s leading interior design consultancy’s, Urban Lounge who along with her Urban Lounge team has been working in an advisor capacity to support the renovation project.
Pouring over pattern, colours and shade definition together they are bringing Gerrand Flooring’s own custom Woven Carpet from Feltex’s Oceania Collection to life….watch this space.
