A new multi unit commercial build on Totara Street, now homes a front facing furniture retail store and tucked behind is Bunker Golf a new, exclusive, membership-only indoor golf simulator club and is redefining what it means to play the game off-course.
With a vision to create a premium, private golfing environment, Urban Lounge Interiors led the design of the space—eschewing the predictable golf-themed aesthetic in favour of a sophisticated, modern approach. Rich textures, refined finishes, and a curated palette of rust, charcoal, walnut, and bone have shaped an interior that feels both luxurious and inviting. These tones soften the industrial nature of the original building, ensuring Bunker is not just a high-performance simulator club but also a space where members want to linger.
A key element in achieving this balance of form and function was the flooring. The Interface carpet tiles specified by Urban Lounge Interiors, bringing both durability and design impact to the space. The flooring plays a crucial role in defining the club’s atmosphere—The Third Space carpet tile in Colour 304 from Interface’s Tapestry collection adds depth with its subtle, woven texture, while the Monochrome carpet tiles in Briar and Brown from Interface are a creatively custom cut finish. Reflective of the curved nature of a golf course's undulating surface, these elements introduce tonal contrast that enhances the overall aesthetic.
Beyond aesthetics, the chosen flooring solutions provide exceptional performance underfoot, offering the comfort and resilience needed for a high-use, social setting. Whether members are perfecting their swing on the simulator or unwinding in the lounge, the space has been carefully crafted to offer an elevated golf experience—one that seamlessly blends sport, style, and sophistication.
